The Motobilt Dana 44 steel differential cover boasts several distinctive features that set it apart from others. It incorporates a robust 3/8-inch thick steel ring, ensuring the cover remains securely attached to the housing, even when traversing rocky terrain. Additionally, the Dana 44 steel differential cover follows a proven design with a 1/4-inch thick steel plate and includes a convenient integrated 3/4-inch NPT fill plug. This fill plug, located on the Dana 44 HD steel differential cover, allows for easy access, which proves especially useful when a truss system is frequently employed.

To maximize strength, the Dana 44 steel differential cover undergoes welding both internally and externally, ensuring thorough penetration. This design is the result of more than 14 years of experience in testing and manufacturing differential covers. Please note that the differential cover is shipped in its bare steel form and requires painting. Typically, powder coating is not applied as the cover is expected to endure punishment from rocks. Instead, a coat of spray paint is recommended for easy touch-up. The cover is shipped with the necessary bolts and fill plug.
