REVKIT Cobra Strike Recovery Package.

Getting the best recovery gear for your rig just got a lot easier and a whole lot more badass! Our goal with this recovery package is to provide you with some of the best gear on the market to ensure a successful and smooth vehicle recovery. If you drive a Wrangler or Gladiator then this recovery package is perfect.

One of very own founders here at REVKIT, Dan Hart put this package together as he has been using this exact setup for several years now and believes it's simply the best. Dan is a long time offroad adventurer and has been in a few vehicle recoveries to say the least. Check out his build on REVKIT or follow him out on Instagram to see why he might know a thing or two about vehicle recovery.

The REVKIT Cobra Strike Recovery Package Includes:

  • (1) Warn VR EVO 10-S Winch with Synthetic Rope
  • (1) Factor 55 Ultrahook
  • (1) Factor 55 Ultrahook Rope Guard
  • (1) Factor 55 Hawse 1" Fairlead
  • (2) Factor 55 Standard Duty Soft Shackle 7/16" x 10"

Features of this package:

The Warn VR EVO 10-S Winch w/ Synthetic Cable
The amount of straight line pulling power is very important, but how much do you need? For a Wrangler or Gladiator the 10,000lbs of pulling power is plenty. Sure, you could go more, but is it needed? Not really. Dan has been using the Warn EVO 10-S on his heavily modified Wrangler JLU for several years and it has handled hundreds of recoveries with ease.

The Warn VR EVO 10-S Winch w/ Synthetic Cable
A synthetic winch line option on can often be overlooked as it typically costs a little more than the standard steel cable line. However, the advantage of a synthetic winch line is that if it breaks (and it will happen eventually) the rope will fall to the ground where as a steel cable could snap back extremely fast and wreck havoc on anything in its way. A synthetic line is also easy to carry, which is great when you're walking 80ft uphill to a winch point.

Factor 55 Ultrahook
The Ultrahook is the shining star for creating a solid and safe winching approach. The term "closed winching system" simply implies that there are no open ends for a rope, shackle, strap, etc...to fall out and cause big problems. Keeping everything closed is safe and easy to do. The Factor 55 Ultrahook (pictured above) has a couple options for this: 1) The hook area can be used when a large strap is needed (or if you're in a hurry) and still remain closed as the metal clip automatically springs back into place. 2) The other option on the Ultrahook is the hole near the tip designed for a soft shackle. So you have a couple options to choose from and both create a closed winching system.

Factor 55 Hawse 1" Fairlead
Precisely engineered, smoothed and shaped surfaces for the winch line might sound like overkill...but it is very important. This is one of many features that separate Factor 55 from the competition as their Hawse Fairlead is CNC machined from 6000-series aluminum and coated with a very durable hard-anodized coating. The last thing any winch line needs is to slide along a sharp or rough surface which damages the line. These rounded, smoothed and coated surfaces on all contact points touching the winch line help with your safety and line longevity.

The Warn Remote
The flexibility of going wired or being wireless is quite nice. The bells and whistles of a completely wireless winch sound great, but in Dan's experience, the best remote control option is one that is wireless with the ability to be wired. Why? You don't want to do a recovery and then find out the winch remote batteries are dead.

Factor 55 Standard Soft Shackle - 7/16" x 10"
Soft shackles are a lot stronger than you think and after you've gone through a few recoveries you will realize that the soft shackle is gold...and not all soft shackles are created equal. A soft shackle is incrediblely easy to use, light weight and very strong. Ditch the clanky metal shackles.

Overall this a very solid recovery package. If you don't have any recovery gear yet then this kit is for you. Not only are you getting a work-horse of a winch but you're also getting in my opinion the best combination of accessories to go with it, all engineered to work together. Hope to see you all on the trail someday.
