JL 2 Door Rear Corner Armor

The first aluminum corner armor for the JL! These are precisely formed to match your JL's body from 3/16" thick aluminum plate or 3/16" steel plate (if optioned) for the thickest, most robust corner armor you can buy for your Jeep! If you're going to count on your armor on the trail, you'll want to avoid plastic and thinner gauge metal guards. These are fully compatible with aftermarket or factory rear tail lamps -- which means these *are* compatible with your blind spot detectors if you wish to keep all of your safety features!

As anyone who has repaired trail damage and replaced sheet metal on a Jeep will tell you, it's not a big deal to replace a fender, the hood, or a door since they were meant to unbolt anyways. The body tub technically can be unbolted from everything and replaced; however, it is bolted to everything from the frame, to your steering, brakes, and electrical harnesses. You can now protect and strengthen the largest and most integral piece of sheet metal on your JL with our Rear Corner Armor set.

Unlike previous Wranglers, the JL really has some curves, so we've done everything we can to wrap tightly around them with this corner armor. About the only thing they won't protect on the corner is the tail lights themselves. We've had our fair share of cracked, broken, and even water-collecting JL tail lamps at this point, and recommend pairing our rear corner armor with our JL Flush Mount LEDs for maximum protection.

Drilling of the body tub/ sheet metal and placement of 1/4"-20 "rivnuts" are required for installation on many of the mounting locations as they are not easily accessed from the backside/inside. Some can be accessed on the backside via the fuel door or tail lamp cutouts.

Products are designed and fabricated to fit vehicles that have varying tolerances from the factory, minor hand fitting may be required.

Products are shipped bare metal unless otherwise specified by the customer. Bare metal products may have scratches or surface imperfections as a result of raw material handling, manufacturing, and fabrication. However, these imperfections are easily covered up with a textured powder coat finish. Additional finishing, sanding, and prep work may be required if you wish to also have them finished with a smooth powder coat or paint.
