Building triangulated 4 link suspensions does not have to be difficult. Motobilt offers products to make fabricating 4 link suspensions easier for both the professional and DIY fabricator. The Large Link Mount System featured is designed to work with 1.25 x .1 rod ends with 1 inch x 3/4 inch high misalignment spacers. The mounting width of the pocket where the rod end slides into is 2.625 inch. The link mount is fabricated from 5/16 inch steel plate. The link mount it designed to work on 1.75 inch OD round tube.

The over all width of the link mount system is 18 inches to spread the load over a wider area. When installing we recommend using a min of .188 inch wall DOM tubing or thicker. You should also add tube gussets to further brace the mounting area. The overall height of the bracket once assembled is 3.88 inch tall (3.875 inch). The link mount is designed to angle the links out at 20 degrees per side totaling 40 degrees. With high misalignment spacers you can vary the actual mounting angle to the axle slightly.

This style link mount requires welding to install. Be sure to have a qualified person weld the parts in and design your suspension. The part is intended for off-road use on vehicles such as Jeep, rock crawlers, rock bouncers, mega trucks, and other vehicles requiring a triangulated 4 link suspension.
